By exporting transport services, Pakistan earns $476 million

By offering various transport services in various nations during the first seven months of the current fiscal year (2022-23) as compared to the same period previous year, Pakistan made US $476.840 million.

According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), this represents a gain of 9.91% when compared to the $433.860 million in revenue from the sale of services during the same time of the fiscal year (2021–22).

Sea transport service exports increased during the reviewed months by 49.11%, rising from $66.020 million in the corresponding months of the prior year to $98.440 million.

According to PBS statistics, exports of freight services climbed by 110.62 percent among sea transport services from $39.450 million to $83.090 million last year, while exports of other sea transport services decreased by 42.23 percent from $26.570 million to $15.350 million last year.

From July through January, air transport exports increased by 3.44 percent, from $354.190 million the previous year to $366.390 million. (2022-23).

Exports of passenger air transportation services increased by 7.55 percent, from $230.050 million to $247.430 million, while exports of freight air transportation services increased by 3.46 percent, from $17.910 million to $18.530 million. Exports of other air transportation services also decreased, from $106.230 million to $100.430 million, by 5.46 percent.
