Regarding "rumors," Donald Trump made inflammatory statements, says lawyer

Former US President Donald Trump’s attorney Joseph Tacopina claims that Trump made threatening comments and incendiary outbursts as the rumours of his arrest spread.

When Trump revealed last week on his own social media network Truth Social that he would probably be arrested on Tuesday as part of an ongoing criminal investigation in New York, he ignited a nationwide panic.

Authorities tightened security around district attorney Alvin Bragg at the Manhattan courthouse out of concern that a similar incident could occur on Capitol Hill in 2021.

As he spoke, he stated, “He [Trump] didn’t make it up; he was reacting to a lot of leaks coming out of the district attorney’s office. And then, of course, there were a lot of speculations around the arraignment being the following day. Therefore, I believe he simply thought that was what would occur based on the leaks.

Trump claims that his every detail has been examined, but the Hush money case against him has really tested him. Despite the fact that the court did not make any formal accusations, the grand jury will convene on Monday (today) to formally charge him.

His 2024 presidential campaign, which centres on the Manhattan case, refers to it as a “witch hunt” against him.

His opponents, whom he described as “prosecutorial misconduct by radical left maniacs,” were the target of his first significant demonstration in Waco, Texas, held last week.

Tacopina stated during his interview that “he was a lawyer – not a social media consultant,” declining to address Trump’s remarks.

In reference to the unfair trial, the attorney stated: “This was a personal civil settlement that’s done every day in New York City.Campaign funding had nothing to do with this.

When Daniels was prepared to make public her and Trump’s sexual encounter in the final days of Trump’s presidency, she allegedly received payment. Trump has vigorously refuted the accusations levelled against him.

The person who received the initial payment from Trump, Michael Cohen, admitted guilt in court and was sentenced to prison for tax fraud and breaching campaign finance regulations.

Racist criticism of Bragg by Trump raises concerns that it could spark racial conflict.

Donald Trump added that if he were to be prosecuted, there would be “death and destruction.”

Hakeem Jeffries, the top Democrat in the House of Representatives, warned that “if he [Trump] keeps it up it’s going to get someone killed.”
